León, Guanajuato.- “Guanajuato is a power in high-performance sports,” said Cristian Enríquez Hernández, Director of the Sports Commission of the State of Guanajuato, at the flag ceremony of the State delegation that will participate in the Paris Olympic and Paralympic Games. 2024.
The director of the commission reported that the Guanajuato athletes participating in the event make up 10 percent of the Mexican delegation, a record number for the State.
A few days before registration closes to attend Paris, Enríquez Hernández stated that there will be 8 athletes who will participate in conventional sports and 3 athletes in adapted sports.

The disciplines in which the Guanajuato athletes will compete are: mountain biking, archery, sports shooting, walking, judo, triathlon and swimming.
For his part, the Governor of the State, Diego Sinhue Rodríguez Vallejo, led the delegation and addressed a message to the athletes, cataloging them as “the most valuable harvest of sports in Guanajuato.”
Likewise, he reported that around 30 million pesos have been invested in high-performance Guanajuato athletes and pointed out that athletes are the heroes required to reconstitute the social fabric.
