Guillem Ferrando ends his time at Valencia Basket

Valencia Basket has executed this Friday the existing option in its contract with point guard Guillem Ferrando and has thus ended the working relationship between both parties, so the Valencian director of play has disassociated himself from the ‘taronja’ club.

“Ferrando has been part of Valencia Basket in all categories since he arrived as a child until playing 65 games with the professionals, marking a historical record of assists in a European competition match that still stands as a record for the entity,” he highlighted. the ‘taronja’ entity in a press release.

The club thanked Ferrando for “his professionalism, dedication and work” during the time he has played for the club, being “an example and role model” for all the members of L’Alqueria del Basket, “both those from Valencia like him and those who have come from other places”. Valencia Basket wished him “the best in his future, both professionally and personally”.

Ferrando started the 2023/24 season in the ‘Taronja’ first team, playing 12 games between the Endesa League and the Euroleague. At the beginning of January he left on loan to Movistar Estudiantes, with whom he played 27 LEB Oro games with an average of 7.3 points – 39.4% in three-pointers -, 2.2 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 7.9 rating credits.
