[시사일보=장병환 대기자] On the 3rd, Gwangmyeong Mayor Park Seung-won encouraged the kendo team of the Workplace Sports Department, which brought glory to Gwangmyeong City by winning three team gold medals this season, in the city hall video conference room.

The Gwangmyeong City Hall kendo team participated in various competitions in the first half of this year and achieved good results, winning 6 gold and 3 silver medals. In particular, they won the team competitions of three national industrial kendo competitions, including the winter, the 46th President’s Cup, and the 9th President’s Cup, raising the status of Gwangmyeong City as the strongest team in the industry.

At this event, 12 players, including coach Jeong Byeong-gu and coach Kim Yun-soon, attended the event.

Meanwhile, Gwangmyeong City operates workplace sports teams for two sports, including a kendo team established in January 2000 and a badminton team established in February 2009.
