Hailee Steinfeld decided to make a drastic change of look that divided the opinions of her followers after getting rid of her characteristic long locks.

The 27-year-old posted an update on social media to reach out to her 20.6 million followers on Instagramjust to surprise them with his transformation.

It’s safe to say they weren’t expecting Steinfeld to reveal such a dramatic change in her appearance, but there’s no denying that it suits her.

The actress of ‘Spiderman: Into the Spider-verse’ She posted a selfie, where she showed off a much shorter haircut, and captioned her post: “Hey my loves!!! It’s been a minute. Life is so great. I’ll tell you all the details soon.”

Overall, Steinfeld’s followers appreciated the change and flocked to the comments section to compliment her new hairstyle.

One person commented: “Welcome back Hailee, we all say in unison”; while another fan added: “Missing girl returned with a complete hair change.”

But one woman demanded an explanation for her change, writing: “The hair change? Explain it to me Hailee.”

Steinfeld’s post comes a day after she was seen with her boyfriend, the quarterback of the Buffalo Bills, Josh Allenat the wedding of one of his former teammates in Cabo.

Josh is best friends Kyle Allen, who despite having the same name is not his brother. He signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers this offseason and made another big commitment after marrying Summer Juraszekwho Steinfeld became friends with while attending Bills games last season.

Steinfeld posed for photos with Juraszek at Highmark Stadium during the Bills’ 27-20 victory over the New England Patriots on New Year’s Eve. As for Allen, he was best friends with Kyle Allen for years.

Since they started dating more than a year ago, Allen and Steinfeld rarely post together on Instagram. However, she made an exception after posting about the nuptials for the first time in almost three months on Saturday, June 22.
