Handball: Barça and its French join Aalborg in the Champions League final

There will be three French players in the final of the Champions Handball League. Opposed to Kiel for a high-altitude semi-final this Saturday at the Lanxess Arena in Cologne, FC Barcelona has mastered its subject. Fallers of Paris Saint-Germain in the quarter-finals, the Catalans won (30-18) without ever being worried by the German champions in difficulty in all areas of the game.

A victory to which Dika Mem, Timothey N’Guessan and Melvyn Richardson, the three Blues of Barça, greatly contributed. The latter finished as the game’s top scorer, returning to the locker room with 5 goals on the clock, while his partners scored 3 and 2 goals respectively. All three in the running for a third European title, the French internationals and their team will meet the Danes of Aalborg in the final, this Sunday from 6 p.m.

On the other hand, the end of the afternoon was more complicated for Samir Bellahcene. Abandoned by his defense, the French international goalkeeper, revelation of the last Euro won by the Tricolores, could do nothing to avoid the defeat of his team. He will have to settle for the match for third place, against SC Magdeburg, Sunday at 3:15 p.m.
