The contracts have been signed: Hirving Lozano is leaving PSV. The Mexican international will transfer to San Diego FC on January 1, 2025, for approximately €12 million. Lozano has already left PSV after less than a year and a half, with which he became champion this year.
PSV and San Diego have now confirmed the situation. The deal was already largely in the works last year. Lozano signed a five-year contract with PSV, but with the intention of leaving next winter.
Risk assumed
His transfer on January 1, 2025 is final: even if he is injured, Lozano will leave for San Diego. The new American club takes over that risk from PSV. San Diego will play in the American professional league for the first time next year.
