Houston Rockets Pick Up Jae’Sean Tate’s Option for $7.6 Million: A Success Story of Persistence and Talent

The Houston Rockets have exercised their $7.6 million option on Jae’Sean Tate’s contract, reported Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

Tate was left out of the 2018 NBA draft, but he managed to make his way into the NBA after stints in Belgium and Australia respectively.

On July 1, 2022, he agreed with the Texans to an extension for three seasons and a total of $22 million.

In the 2023-24 season he has played 65 official games with averages of 4.1 points and 3 rebounds in 15.9 minutes per night.
