Vincent Labrune was summoned to the Senate on Wednesday, but the rapporteur of the information mission on investment funds in French football has not finished with the president of the Professional Football League (LFP).
During an interview with The TeamSenator Michel Savin thus questioned the sums received by the former manager of Olympique de Marseille.
“How can his salary have tripled when as president of the League he has fewer missions since all the commercial and marketing aspects have been transferred to the commercial company?” pointed out the parliamentarian from Isère. He is referring here to the creation of the commercial company responsible for marketing the TV rights of the French championships, also chaired by Vincent Labrune.

Michel Savin was also concerned about the lack of flow of information to club presidents, particularly on the issue of the agreement between CVC and the LFP, whose company must pay 13% of its revenue in exchange for the 1.5 billion euros placed on the table by the fund. “The clubs seem to have placed excessive trust in the League and they are not around the table with CVC within the commercial company, there are only representatives of the League and CVC. What is the power of the League?” the senator continues.
