Nico Hülkenberg was given a 10 second penalty after the sprint for pushing Fernando Alonso off the track.
Towards the end of the sprint there was a duel in the third corner. According to the stewards, Hülkenberg locked his wheels and missed the top of the corner while trying to overtake Alonso. According to them, he prevented Alonso from turning and pushed him off the track.
The Haas driver dropped from 14th to 19th place due to a 10-second penalty. In addition, he received 2 penalty points – his first two penalty points in the last year.
