Indonesian National Team Adds Three New Naturalized Players to Roster

tvOnenews.com – The Indonesian national team has three new naturalized players. The three naturalized players who have just joined are Maarten Paes, Jens Raven and Calvin Verdonk.

Previously, the naturalization process for the Indonesian National Team was mentioned by the Garuda squad coach, Shin Tae Yong.

He said that there would be several hereditary players who would be naturalized in June 2024.

This was then followed by the news that Calvin Verdonk had officially become an Indonesian citizen (WNI).

The process of Calvin Verdonk’s naturalization transfer from KNVB to PSSI has been completed and received FIFA approval.

Verdonk is certain to be able to defend the Indonesian National Team in the final match of the Second Round of the Asian Zone 2026 World Cup Qualification against the Philippines on Tuesday, 11 June 2024.

Shin Tae-yong highlighted the important contribution of naturalized players in improving the performance of the Garuda squad.
