Next Thursday, June 20, Logistop and the Valenciaport Foundation organize the in-person event “LogisPort: Innovation and 4.0 technologies in the new digital and sustainable logistics”, at the headquarters of the Port Authority of Valencia. Among the topics to be discussed are the logistical-port challenges in the current geopolitical and business context, the present and future of environmental sustainability in Spanish ports and the digital revolution in the sector, as reported in a press release.

Logistop and the Valenciaport Foundation join forces to carry out LogisPort: Innovation and 4.0 technologies in the new digital and sustainable logistics, an in-person event that will be held on June 20 at the headquarters of the Port Authority of Valencia and that will bring together prominent professionals and experts from the port-logistics sector to analyze and debate the present and future of innovation in the sector, focusing on the trends that are currently being imposed and making way.

This initiative is part of the joint strategy of both organizations to strengthen the competitiveness, digitalization and sustainability of companies in the logistics-port community, promoting innovative and collaborative measures.

The day will begin with an institutional opening by representatives of the sector, followed by several round tables that will address crucial topics. Among them, the logistics-port challenges will be discussed in the current geopolitical and business context, with the participation of leaders such as Jaime Gimeno, director of Business Development at Ership, Jorge Alonso, president and CEO of the Alonso Group and Javier Romeu , CEO of TIBA. Another round table will focus on the present and future of environmental sustainability in Spanish ports, with experts such as Federico Torres (Port Authority of Valencia) and María José Rubio (Port Authority of Castellón) Fermín Rol (Port Authority of Cartagena) and Mercedes de Juan (Alicante Port Authority).

The digital revolution in the port-logistics sector will also be addressed: emerging technologies and applications, led by Jaime Luezas, head of the Port Community Services Area, State Ports, Miguel Llop, director of Digital Transformation, Valenciaport Foundation, Estíbaliz Loyo, director of Intelligent Systems for Mobility and Logistics, Vicomtech and Ana Llorens, director of Operations, PortSur Castellón.

Finally, the current ecosystem of entrepreneurship and startups in the sector will be analyzed and examples of innovation projects in maritime transport and ports will be shared.
