This Sunday, the Sanjuanina Basketball League experienced an intense day with finals that stood out for the dedication and talent of the participating teams. Aramburu was crowned champion of the women’s basketball, while Urquiza took the first step towards the title in the men’s level 1.
In the men’s category, the Urquiza team secured the first final match of the Carlos Yanzi Apertura Tournament, beating Inca Huasi with a tight 60 to 53. The Panthers, playing on the Estrella court, beat the Ñokaicos in an exciting game.
Facundo Bustos was the top scorer of the game with 19 points, followed by Federico Bustos with 13 baskets and Valentín Guida with 10 scores. On the part of the Ñokaicos, Ignacio Yanzi Romero stood out with 13 points, while Fernando Loyola and Francisco Palacios contributed 11 and 8 points respectively.
The second final is expected to be played next weekend with the stadium and schedule to be confirmed by the San Juan Basketball Federation.
