The National Polytechnic Institute (IPN) reported that as of yesterday it cancelled the contract with the company Gott Und Glück, SA de CV, which was in charge of the cleaning, due to various breaches.
“As required by law, the aforementioned company was granted the legal deadline to state what it deems appropriate, which expired on Friday, June 28. At the deadline, the company did not provide arguments to resolve the non-compliance or conclusive evidence to do so,” the institution stated in a statement.
He highlighted that among the non-compliances there were interruptions in the service that caused the closure of some institutions, as well as that not all of its staff had been registered with the IMSS and a lack of personnel and machinery to fulfill the service.
Through a message addressed to the polytechnic community, he highlighted that in view of the need for a cleaning service that would guarantee the health and well-being conditions for the entire community, the corresponding contracting procedure was carried out, which will begin next Monday, July 1, 2024.

On Wednesday, employees of Gott Und Glück, SA de CV, closed several roads in Mexico City to protest their lack of payments, causing traffic disruption for several hours.
