Steven Defour was fired by KV Mechelen last season. Since then there has been no wind regarding a new club. Does Defour want to get back to work quickly?
Defour soon back as coach?
In Mid Mid Meister he was asked if he wanted to get back to work soon. “Not immediately, but it is the intention. I was busy with football every day for 20 years and it is sometimes nice to take a break from it. I regularly watch Man City, go on holiday, am an analyst at Play Sports…,” he said.
Back to KV Mechelen?
Defour lets everything happen. Clubs are of course allowed to sound out. A return to KV Mechelen is no longer an option, not even in another position.
“No, that’s not going to happen anymore. In a next project I want to work at a club with a very good structure. That wasn’t always easy at KV Mechelen,” the former Red Devil indicated.
The name of the former player of Anderlecht, Racing Genk, Royal Antwerp FC, Standard and KV Mechelen was not mentioned anywhere in recent weeks and months when trainers were being sought at the clubs in Belgium. Will this change in a few months?
