The team from the Queen City therefore won the honors of the series 2 to 1.
The victory went to reliever Yimi Garcia (3-0). On the A’s side, it was reliever Austin Adams who suffered the defeat, his second of the season.
Kiner-Falefa was the spark for his team in the second inning with a single that pushed Justin Turner and George Springer to the plate.
It was only in the sixth inning that the locals responded when batter Brent Rooker hit a solo home run.
After being shut out in his first three at-bats, Quebecer Abraham Toro then sent two teammates to the plate with a productive double at the bottom of the seventh inning.
Daulton Varsho then scored a run on a sacrifice fly from Davis Schneider in the eighth inning to tie the game 3-3.
Kiner-Falefa then emptied the trails in the top of the 10th inning with a double to center field. Toronto’s next generation then did the job to close this meeting with a victory.
The Jays will begin a three-game series tomorrow in Milwaukee against the Brewers. TVA Sports will present the second match of this confrontation, Tuesday evening, at 8 p.m.
