The Italian men’s national basketball team landed in Puerto Rico today, Saturday, around 3:00 in the afternoon.
This is the second European team that is already in Puerto Rico for its participation in the FIBA Olympic Qualification Tournament, which will be held from July 2 to 7 at the Puerto Rico Coliseum and which will grant the only Olympic pass to Paris 2024. The other team is Lithuania who arrived on Thursday.

The team, led by Danilo Gallinari of the NBA’s Milwaukee Bucks, will debut on Tuesday, July 2 at 8:30 p.m. against Bahrain, who along with Puerto Rico make up Group B. Meanwhile, Group A includes Lithuania, Mexico and the Ivory Coast.
