Rome, 28 June 2024 – The U17s are still competing, but in Novi Sad they won’t stop on Sunday: from Monday 1st July the U17s will also start European U20 Wrestling Championshipsstill in the Serbian city.
This time the blue team called up there are 22, divided into the three competing styles:
Women’s freestyle wrestling – Fabiana Rinella (53kg), Elisa Duce (55kg), Asia Craparotta (57kg), Immacolata Danise (59kg), Elena Nicolodi (62kg), Bianca Contrafatto (65kg), Emma Carri (68kg), Fabiana Dattilo (72kg ) and Anna Iodice (76kg).
Men’s free wrestling – Carmine Caiazza (57kg), Pasquale Liuzzi (61kg), Alessandro Nini (65kg), Daniele Gubbiotti (70kg), Raul Caso (74kg), Gabriele Niccolini (86kg), Vassilj Guccini (92kg), Angelo Aleo (97kg ) and Martino Piliero (125kg).
Greco-Roman wrestling – Davide Zilio (63kg), Federico Raccagni (67kg), Giulio Bellon (87kg) and Riccardo Bufis (97kg).
The competition schedule will follow the usual format, starting with the elimination rounds and culminating with the finals the following day. Competitions will begin on Monday morning with the elimination rounds of the first categories of Greco-Roman wrestling and will end on Sunday with the finals of the last categories of men’s freestyle wrestling.
