Our only success came in the first round, 4-1 against Cyprus, thanks to points scored by Iulia Airola Granaci (-48 kg), Giuseppe Gesuele (-60 kg), Andrea Mocerino (-81 kg) and Paris (+63 kg). The Italian team then lost in the quarterfinals against the Netherlands and in the repechage against Azerbaijan, again 4-1.
