ITERCON, a company specialized in design and construction, is carrying out the works for the creation of a new logistics warehouse in the Barcelona municipality of Castellar del Vallès for the client CBRE Investment Management, a leading international real estate asset manager with a presence in more than a hundred of countries.
The building, whose construction began at the end of 2023 and will be completed at the end of this year, is built on a plot of more than 40,000 square meters in the Pla de la Bruguera industrial estate. The project will have as tenant the multinational ID Logistics, which already has the annex building in this area, and upon completion it will operate for Grupo Puig, a Catalan company dedicated to perfumery, cosmetics and fashion, which includes prominent brands such as Gaultier, Rabanne, Carolina Herrera or Charlotte Tilbury.
The total surface area of the warehouse amounts to 25,120 m², mostly used for storage, while it will also have an office area spread over two floors. The storage system used, pioneering and of German origin, will be automated using a network-integrated model, favouring the agility and efficiency of the storage and distribution of items.
The building will have a total of 32 loading docks, and a maximum interior height of 13.90 meters at its highest point, allowing the future tenant to maximize the storage capacity of each square meter of floor.
