Jaden Agassi aims for baseball career
He and his sister Jaz (20) grew up sheltered and isolated in Las Vegas. His earliest memory? “That must be the US Open. I forget what year it was, but I remember my father winning a match, and my mother let me run around the square and gave him a big hug.”
The fact that Agassi has been a tennis name up to now does not bother him. He confidently says: “I’ll make him a baseball name!” He is well on his way to achieving this, always supported by his parents. “They went through all the ups and downs. Admittedly in a different sport. But they have seen everything, experienced everything.” And what are the former tennis stars like as parents? Jaden is full of praise: “You help me in so many ways that I can’t even list them all. You are a great support.” Now Steffi and Andre cheer on their eldest son at his games. Difficult: Jaden recently moved to Ohio and plays for a club there. Commuting 3,000 kilometers to see your son for a game? What wouldn’t you do for your children…
