Jaime Motos Joins Unicaja Costa de Almería: A Rising Star in Spanish Volleyball

One of the great promises of Cuenca volleyball, Jaime Motos, has caught the attention of Unicaja Costa de Almería, which has acquired the services of the setter. The 18-year-old reaches the Superliga – the highest category of Spanish volleyball – and does so with one of the best clubs in the country, which will make the player continue to grow by leaps and bounds.

Motos has been part of the Palencia Permanent Team since 2022, and his great development has also earned him a call from the lower categories of the Spanish National Team on several occasions. He has been competing in Super League 2 with CyL Palencia 2024 and training at the High Performance Center, while with CV Cuenca he has achieved great achievements in the different categories he has gone through.

In statements offered to the Almeria club, Motos conveys that he feels very happy to be part of Unicaja: “Looking forward to starting this season, there is no doubt that it is going to be very good.” On the other hand, he also points out that he knows the great demands of these leagues and the shield that he will defend. “I know that it is a team that always fights for the highest positions in the Super League and I follow many players who have passed through this great club,” transmits the young man.

A great step for the youth player of the Cuenca entity that Fredy Mosquera once recruited, another old acquaintance of CV Cuenca who today coaches the Spanish under 18 team.
