“He has grown up. He can assess the hustle and bustle around him very well,” says Kumberger in the current episode of the SPORT1 podcast “Die Bayern-Woche”. Musiala makes a very mature impression. The 21-year-old has made an enormous leap since the 2022 World Cup.
“One and a half years at FC Bayern obviously toughen you up. Even if they weren’t easy in sporting terms,” the insider continued. The offensive star also shines off the pitch with clear analyses.

The record champions are currently planning to build a future-oriented team around Musiala. The new axis will also include Aleksandar Pavlovic, whose contract was recently extended until 2029.
Kumberger is only worried about the desire of other clubs: one can definitely expect an offer from top clubs like Real Madrid. Musiala’s contract in Munich “only” runs until summer 2026.
Squad planning in full swing
Meanwhile, FC Bayern’s current transfer planning is moving forward. According to SPORT1 information, Bayer Leverkusen is currently making it difficult for the Munich team to sign Jonathan Tah. The Werkself bosses want to receive at least 40 million euros for the international player. The Bavarian offer is significantly lower, but Tah’s good performances at the European Championships do not make the central defender any cheaper.
And the FCB bosses are also putting pressure on Joao Palhinha. According to Kumberger, they do not want to be kept waiting much longer by the player or Fulham FC. The record champions are aiming for an agreement soon.
