On Wednesday at 12:30 p.m., Jannik Sinner familiarized himself with the conditions at Wimbledon for the first time. In the evening, the Sextner had a completely different program: the Italian fashion house Gucci organized a dinner in his honor, which was attended by numerous prominent guests.

Jannik Sinner is not only the best tennis player in the world at the moment, but also a personality who has a great appeal beyond sport. It is no wonder that sponsors are literally lining up for the down-to-earth South Tyrolean. The most well-known supporter of the world number one is the fashion company Gucci.

Just last year, Sinner attracted a lot of attention at Wimbledon when he entered the center court at the All England Lawn Club with a bag made especially for him. Since then, the 22-year-old, who acts as the brand’s “global ambassador,” has appeared in other Gucci campaigns. And the bag has now become a familiar accessory.

The successes of the last few months have not gone unnoticed by Gucci either. To celebrate Sinner’s first Grand Slam title and reaching number 1, the company organized a private dinner on Wednesday evening at London’s upscale Mount St. Restaurant. Among the guests were numerous superstars such as Ryan Gosling and Salma Hayek. This shows what league Sinner is now playing in.

Sinner’s home is and will remain the tennis court. He will return to it on Thursday at 2:15 p.m. when the first training session on Center Court is scheduled. His sparring partner is none other than Novak Djokovic. It is now considered certain that the Serb will compete in Wimbledon after his meniscus operation. Before Sinner and Djokovic, Carlos Alcaraz and Daniil Medvedev will inaugurate the “holy turf”.
