Jannik Sinner to Represent Italy in Singles and Doubles at 2024 Paris Olympic Games

World No. 1 Jannik Sinner will participate in the 2024 Paris Olympic Games in the singles and doubles tournaments with Lorenzo Musetti, the Italian Tennis Federation announced this Friday.

For his first Olympics, Sinner, 22, will return to the clay court of Roland-Garros where he reached the last four, taking part in two of the three tennis events on the program. This season he won the Australian Open, his first major title, and two other tournaments (Rotterdam, Miami).

In men’s singles, Italy will line up, in addition to Sinner, Lorenzo Musetti, 30th in the world, Matteo Arnaldi (34th) and Luciano Darderi (41st), while in addition to the Sinner-Musetti pair, it will be represented in doubles by Andrea Vavassori and Simone Bolelli, beaten in the final at Roland-Garros.

The women’s team will be made up of world No. 7 Jasmine Paolini, finalist at Roland-Garros in singles and doubles, Elisabetta Cocciaretto (43rd) and Lucia Bronzetti (68th). These last two players will form a doubles pair, while Paolini will find Sara Errani, lined up only in doubles.
