The ink is dry!
As has been announced in recent days, Hiroki Ito is moving from VfB Stuttgart to FC Bayern Munich. The German record champions officially announced this on Thursday evening.
The 25-year-old defender signed a contract at Säbener Straße until 2028. According to information from “Sky”, the Munich team activated the exit clause of 30 million euros.
“We want hungry players who bring new energy, and Hiroki has everything we want: He is a player who accepts challenges, overcomes them and continually makes his way,” Bayern’s sporting director Max Eberl is quoted as saying.

“He will be a real reinforcement for us straight away,” said new head coach Vincent Kompany, who can look forward to an established defender at the start of training. The Japanese played 26 games for VfB in the last Bundesliga season and played a major role in Stuttgart sensationally finishing in second place ahead of Munich.
Ito is looking forward to a new adventure at “one of the biggest clubs in the world. I want to do my part to ensure that FC Bayern wins many titles,” the 25-year-old promptly sets out the course for the coming season.
The defender moved from Japan to Stuttgart in the summer of 2022 after a one-year loan with the Swabians for only around 600,000 euros. The sale is now bringing a lot of money into the VfB club’s coffers.
