Days before having to submit the list for the Olympic Games, Javier Mascherano came out to talk about everything. The coach of the Under 23 National Team touched on two topics that point towards Boca. The first is about Equi Fernández’s “injury” and the other about whether there is any possibility of leaving Medina, Zenón, Equi and Brey a few more days so that they can prepare for the first leg against Independiente del Valle.
“He wasn’t going to be able to play on Saturday, that’s why we released him. The reality is that Boca plays a large part of the semester against Independiente del Valle. The first game will be the week of 7/17, so you will not be able to count on the players who are summoned for the Olympic Games. Equi Fernández, Leandro Brey and Cristian Medina and Kevin Zenón have great chances of going to Paris.
