During all these years, the club has continued to grow to reach today 560 members (510 members of the French Judo Federation and 50 of Ufolep with its krav-maga section), which makes it the largest club from the Pyrénées-Atlantiques and places it in the top 5 of the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region, with nearly a thousand clubs.

Many rewards
When we know that the commune of Soumoulou has around 1,500 inhabitants, we better understand the size that the club has taken. And in proportion to the number of inhabitants, the JCS could even boast of being number one nationally.
The results are not to be outdone since, each year, the club places athletes in the French championships in all age categories and regularly brings back rewards. The much missed champion Sandra Badie is unfortunately no longer there to make the club shine at the international level, but the generations of young people in the making are of high quality and will ensure the succession of the JCS.
During this wonderful celebration, there will be plenty to remember the club’s great days.
On this subject, a call is made to all former coaches or volunteers who worked in the office to be present on June 29 and also to be honored.

2 p.m.: parade; 2:15 p.m.: demonstrations; 3:15 p.m.: delivery of belts; 4 p.m.: trophy presentation; 4:30 p.m.: delivery of the little tigers; 4:45 p.m.: honoring the volunteers and teachers who have worked at the club for 60 years; 5 p.m.: large group photo; 7:30 p.m.: magic show; 8 p.m.: aperitif; 9 p.m.: dinner dance.
