Jean-Charles Valladont Selected for Fourth Olympic Games in Paris

Franche-Comté native Jean-Charles Valladont is part of the final selection for the Paris Olympic Games. He has been chosen as headliner alongside Lisa Barbelin. This will be his fourth participation in the Olympic Games.

Good news for the Franche-Comté residents. Archer Jean-Charles Valladont, originally from Boussières in the Doubs, will be one of the two headliners of the French archery teams at the Paris Olympic Games, with Lisa Barbelin. This was announced on Friday, June 28, by the French Federation in a press release.

Aged 35, Jean-Charles Valladont was selected alongside Baptiste Addis (17) and Thomas Chirault (26). Already an individual Olympic vice-champion in Rio in 2016, he will participate in his fourth Olympic Games (after 2008, 2016 and 2021).

The Franche-Comté resident, who spoke a few weeks ago of his attachment to the rural world and the region, was already part of the first selection decided at the start of the year, within a French team which hopes to continue its momentum, after a team gold double at the European Championships. “It’s an ambitious French team, with a positive energy resulting from the alchemy provided by experience and youth”estimated the national technical director, Benoit Binon.
