PERFORMANCEThe Jean-Dolbeau badminton team won several honors during the regional school championship which took place in mid-April in Saguenay.
The team’s coach, Larry Adams, is very happy that the team has obtained the title of regional champion in all categories for a third consecutive year. “Badminton has been popular at all-purpose schools for 7 years now. This sport is individual and requires excellent technique,” says the coach who has been in the field for many years.
The team is made up of 28 girls and boys, from secondary 3 to secondary 5. The educational institution is the most represented from the point of view of the entire Pays-des-Bleuets School Board.
Results
In the cadet category, Samuel Théberge, Rosalie Gravel, Andréanne Laprise, Alysa Bouchard, Rosalie Gravel, Jimmy Tremblay all got on the podium.
At the juvenile level, Arianne Goulet, Phillippe Lemieux, Vincent Savard, Léo Tremblay and Mélina Tremblay won gold. There were also representatives from Chutes Secondary School. Kim Grimard, Chloé Moreau, Marily, Matis Tremblay, Alicia Boudreault and David Gaudreault all reached the podium. —
