Jean-Eric Vergne on the podium of the Portland E-Prix

Antonio Felix da Costa is the man in form at the moment in Formula E. The Portuguese driver has indeed signed in Portland his third success in four races after those obtained in Shanghai and Berlin. After this series, partly spoiled by his eighteenth place in the second Shanghai E-Prix, he is in seventh place in the World Championship.

This time, the Porsche driver can thank Nick Cassidy, who gave him victory on a platter by making a mistake at the very end of the race, while he was leading. Nineteenth in the end, the Jaguar driver nevertheless remains the leader of the general standings with a 24-point lead over Pascal Wehrlein (Porsche), 10th in this round 13. The victory could also have gone to Mitch Evans if he had not been given a five-second penalty for contact on the track.

First podium since Berlin

Behind the lucky da Costa, the podium is completed by Robin Frijns (Envision) and Jean-Eric Vergne (DS-Penske), who had not been on the gearbox since round 9 in Berlin. The Frenchman is sixth in the Championship, lying in wait behind the British Rowland and Dennis. Norman Nato (Andretti) finished thirteenth and Sacha Fenestraz (Nissan) fifteenth. New race this Sunday evening.
