Jimena Ayllón Represents Soria-CS24 Badminton Club at Spanish Championship of Regional Teams

The young player from the Soria-CS24 Badminton Club, Jimena Ayllón, travels to Huelva where the Carolina Marín Pavilion will host the Spanish Championship of Regional Teams for children and cadet categories.

Jimena, in her first year in the children’s category, is completing a great start to the season, having won several National Masters as well as territorial events and runner-up in Castilla y León. With just five months in the category, she is already placed in the first thirty positions of the national ranking in the three modalities. This versatility will make him a main piece in the confrontations of the Castilla y León team.

The children’s team has been placed in group D and will have to face in this order: Canary Islands, Balearic Islands and Castilla La Mancha. If they manage to qualify in the first two positions in their group they will fight for the medals.

The Castilian and Leonese expedition will have more presence from Soria, led by Víctor Ortega, technical director of the Federation of Castilla y León, as well as Beatriz Hernández and Jorge Peñaranda as support technicians. The competition will run from Thursday until next Sunday.

And another large expedition from the Soria-CS24 Badminton Club will go to the capital of Álava to compete next Saturday in the IX Virgen Blanca Tournament valid for the national ranking. Participating: Isabel Corchón, Carmen Gómez and María González in the sub-17 category, Aarón Barrera, Alvaro Gómez and Daniel Marín in the sub-15 category and Gustavo Barrera and Santiago Martínez within the seniors. The eight participants have sufficient level to fight for the medals.
