John McEnroe Criticizes Roland Garros Organizers After Novak Djokovic’s Injury

Almost a month after Novak Djokovic’s injury suffered during his round of 16 at Roland Garros against Cerundolo, John McEnroe still hasn’t digested it.

The former world number 1, who at the time had already criticized the organizers of the Parisian Grand Slam quite harshly for having scheduled the Serbian’s 3rd round for more than 10:30 p.m., added a layer before the start of Wimbledon. And obviously, Amélie Mauresmo, the tournament director, takes it seriously.

“If Novak Djokovic’s injury doesn’t change the organizers’ minds, what will? The best player in history gets injured – and playing against Musetti until three in the morning played a role. No one can tell me that it doesn’t have an influence on their body, on their entire system”said the American, who made a rather crazy proposal to avoid long five-set matches.
