Jorge Martin, leader of the MotoGP™ World Championship, has signed a multi-year contract with Aprilia Racing and will replace Noel Aleix Espargaro, who will retire from racing at the end of this season, in the factory team from 2025. Ducati thus loses a top rider who is fighting for the title this year in the seat of Pramac Racing’s satellite GP24.
The team Aprilia Racing confirmed that the current leader of the MotoGP™ World Championship Jorge Martin will replace Aleix Espargaro in 2025. The #89 driver has signed a multi-year contract. Aprilia announced the news on Monday evening just after testing at Mugello. The news of Martin joining the Aprilia team ends speculation about his possible move to the factory Ducati team.
