Joshua Applauds Fury’s Defeat: “He Deserved It”

On May 19, British boxer Fury capitulated to Usik on points and lost his world title. Another English wrestler, Joshua, has revealed that he is satisfied with this result.

“I’m glad Fury is no longer the champion,” Joshua told the media. “I think he’s an idiot. I’ve always said that. Fury shows no respect for others, he seems to think he’ll be better off insulting others around him. It’s not good.”

Before the meeting with Usika, Fury often insulted his rival, ignoring him because of his smaller height. The Ukrainian weighed 106 kilograms before the mutual fight, while the Englishman’s weight reached almost 119 kilograms. Even after the fight, Fury’s insults have not subsided.

British boxing star Joshua is extremely unhappy with the way Fury treats Usik: “Called him a rabbit and a welterweight. It’s not good for boxing. Fury always pretends that his opponent is some ordinary guy from the bar. Then he goes and being defeated. Fury deserved it.”

Joshua has also fought against Usika. He lost two exciting duels in 2021 and 2022 – both on points. Although Joshua and Fury have been at loggerheads for a long time, the two boxers have yet to meet in the boxing ring.
