Members of the Judokas Association of Mexico City (Judo CDMX) lived the spirit of the Olympic Games, by being part of the celebration of Olympic Day and the Walk and Sports Fair Heading to Paris 2024.

The above was part of the activities that the capital’s judokas had this weekend, as it was part of the festivity for the Olympic Day that was held last Saturday by the Mexican Olympic Committee (COM), in its facilities north of the CDMX.

To do this, several of the practitioners who are part of their capital team went to the emblematic dojo of the Mexican Olympic Sports Center (CDOM), to share exercises with hundreds of visitors who came to practice some of the Olympic disciplines.

Led by the president of Judo CDMX, Jesús Rosas González, the judokas carried out a series of playful dynamics with girls and boys who went to the tatami to learn something about the practice of this martial art and where the Olympic judoka Rafael González de la Vega was also present. and Professor Paola Naciff.

Although at first the minors were cautious about doing the exercises and activities, it was only a matter of moments for them to participate, enjoy and have complete fun.

These dynamics had the objective of awakening the sense of response of action and reaction to certain indications, as well as that of strategy, integration and teamwork, essential elements of judo.

The participation of the children, and even with a mother who entered with her two little ones, occurred in blocks, where suddenly the CDOM dojo was saturated.

In this same space, the president of the Mexican Olympic Committee, María José Alcalá, as well as the president of the Mexican Judo Federation, Lillian Estrada Bautista, presented themselves, who were happy with the children’s response to the judo dynamics.

This activity consisted of a tour from the Angel of Independence to the Monument to the Revolution, where several stands were installed with different sports disciplines, including the martial art of judo.

In this space, Judo CDMX placed a mat to perform different techniques by members of the capital team, including several of the medalists from the CONADE 2024 Nationals.

Several of the participants in the Walk and Sports Fair Heading to Paris 2024 joined these sessions, who had their first exposure to this martial discipline.
