The Korean Sports Council has lowered its target for the Paris Olympics by setting a target of five or more gold medals, the lowest number ever.

However, the athletes are raising expectations by delivering good news on the stage of the Olympic mock exam.

The rise of fencing towards its home country, France, is evident.

The men’s sabre, which is challenging for a third consecutive team championship as a new team, and the women’s epee, which unfortunately settled for a silver medal in Tokyo, won gold medals in the team events at the Asian Championships, which were preliminary matches for the Olympics.

“I trained with a lot of focus on things like unity and teamwork. I think I gained a lot of confidence after performing well at the Asian Championships.”

“I think the team atmosphere is good and it’s the best, but I think we need to prepare well for the Olympics without letting our guard down here.”

Archery, which has high expectations, has shown an uneasy performance in recent international competitions, but is confident of winning at least three gold medals.

We trained hard to overcome the bad weather and noise at the soccer field, and we also strengthened our resolve.

“I think it was a really good experience, and based on this experience, I will now bring good results at the Paris Olympics.”

Badminton, where women’s singles player An Se-young won the Singapore Open and the doubles pair of Lee So-hee and Baek Ha-na won the Indonesian Open, is looking forward to winning two or more gold medals.

Swimming’s golden generation, including Hwang Sun-woo and Kim Woo-min, aim for three medals with the best performance and also dream of becoming the first gold medal since Park Tae-hwan.

Judo, which had lost its Olympic gold medal streak, announced its revival with Kim Min-jong and Heo Mimi reaching the top at the World Championships, and modern pentathlon also gained confidence by sweeping four gold medals at the World Championships.

An American data analysis firm predicted that Korea would win eight gold medals and rank 10th overall at the Olympics, raising expectations of a better-than-expected performance.
