Antalya 2024 Archery World Cup 3rd Competition: Recurve National Team
On the 8th, the Korean national team departed for Paris, France, the host city of the Olympics, and began training to acclimatize in advance. And on the 15th, we will move to Antalya for final inspection before the Olympics and participate in the competition.
The key point to watch is whether the women’s national team’s ace Im Si-hyeon, captain Jeon Hoon-young, and youngest member Nam Soo-hyun, and the men’s team’s eldest brother Kim Woo-jin, youngest member Kim Je-deok, and Lee Woo-seok, who is about to make his Olympic debut, will be able to win all events at the last World Cup before heading to Paris.
The Korean national team won a total of seven medals (2 gold, 3 silver, and 2 bronze) at the first World Cup held in Shanghai, People’s Republic of China in April. Im Si-hyeon in the women’s individual event and Im Si-hyun and Kim Woo-jin in the mixed team event took first place, showing their status as an archery powerhouse.
Additionally, in the second round of the 2024 Archery World Cup held in Yecheon, Gyeongbuk, South Korea, Lee Woo-seok won two gold medals in the individual event and men’s team event, and in the women’s individual event, Im Si-hyeon and Jeon Hoon-young added a gold medal and Jeon Hoon-young added a silver medal after a close family fight between them. As a result, the Korean national team won a total of 3 gold medals and 3 silver medals.
The Korean national team plans to accelerate the third round of this World Cup, which will be a rehearsal stage for Paris 2024, to put its pride on the line and achieve good results in Olympic archery.
