Kumikata Judo Club Celebrates End-of-Year Achievements with Belt and Moral Code Trophy Awards

The Kumikata Judo Club’s end-of-year party took place on Sunday June 23 at Orangerie Park with its traditional belt and moral code trophy awards ceremony.

This great event was the culmination of a very good year which saw the youngest win numerous team tournaments, and the older ones obtain good results at the regional level. Two made it onto the podium.

So on January 29, Justine Boulery won second place at the cadet east zone championships. On February 11, at the Occitanie championships, junior, 1st division, Vincent Sfara climbed onto the third step of the podium.

During the party, by age category, the children gave a technical demonstration in front of their families, and showed the progress made. The belt presentation ceremony followed. A special moment since the older ones give the younger ones their new belts. A solemn act of handover and transmission, in the spirit of the club and the values ​​of judo, between the elders and the younger ones.

This club, the largest in terms of the number of members in Lunel-Viel, ended the year in style with a party for a large family who shared a picnic from their bags to prolong the moment.

A few days earlier, on June 16, a treasure hunt was organized by coach Hugo to reward the thirty champion seeds who won several interclubs during the year. A lovely recreational afternoon, with events on the theme of judo, helped by older children. Around thirty judokas searched in good humor for treasure in the Orangerie park.
