World champion Jakob Schubert as semi-final winner, Jessica Pilz and surprisingly also Mattea Pötzi have reached the lead climbing final at the Climbing World Cup in Innsbruck.
Pilz came in third in the decision on Sunday; only Olympic champion Janja Garnbret, who had also won the bouldering, and the Japanese Ai Mori were better in the semi-finals of the best 26. Pötzi made it through in eighth place. Julia Fiser (9th) and Flora Oblasser (10th) narrowly failed.
Local hero and Olympic participant Schubert had missed the semi-finals in bouldering, but Pilz had finished fifth in her weaker discipline.
