LA SPORTIVA LAVAREDO ULTRA TRAIL BY UTMB®

This time it is La Sportiva that dominates with five athletes in the top five positions: Nadir Maguet wins after defending himself from Andrea Rostan’s attack, leading up to Forcella Zumeles, and then getting into gear on the long descent to Cortina, closing almost a minute ahead of his teammate.

Lorenzo Cagnati takes the last step of the men’s podium, while behind him the Spaniards Ibai Larrea Arangure and Nicolas Molina Agustìn finish in fourth and fifth place.

Alice Gaggi makes it three, conquering with determination the third consecutive victory over this distance, followed by an excellent Ingrid Mutter (1:53:30), Romanian from the Scarpa team, who crosses the finish line just under 30 seconds away. Slightly behind, the Spanish athlete of La Sportiva Carrodilla Cabestre Lucia closes the podium (1:56:33).

And the adrenaline is rising for the Regina race, the 120K, which will start tomorrow at 11pm from the center of Cortina: 1700 ultra runners are expected at the start who will tackle the 120km and 5800m altitude difference, and who will enjoy the spectacular passage at dawn to the Tre Cime di Lavaredo.

Also tomorrow, at 8:00 am from Corso Italia, 1800 of them will set off for the 50K, a maximum of 12 hours to cover a perfect loop in the mountains around Cortina.
