In a long and interesting article in which he traces the main phases of the Lakers’ search for a new coach, Shams Charania reveals some of the first candidates to join JJ Redick’s coaching staff.
They are Scott Brooks, the former Lakers Rajon Rondo, Jared Dudley – another former Lakers and current assistant of the Dallas Mavericks -, and Sam Cassell.
Furthermore, Charania reveals that Redick has signed a deal worth around 8 million per season.
Finally, the new Lakers coach intends to focus heavily on Anthony Davis, especially in the final stages of the game, and to use LeBron James as much as possible away from the ball, to get him into the decisive part of the season in good shape.
