Le Sommer and Mbock back in the Blue pre-list for the Games, not Majri

The coach called on the two Lyonnaises, returning from injury, in a pre-list for the Games which does not include any major surprises.

Last straight line for the Bleues du football before the Olympic tournament. A little over a month before the start of the Olympic tournament, where the French women’s football team will face Colombia, New Zealand and the reigning champions Canada in Group A, Hervé Renard has unveiled a pre-list of 26 players, which will be reduced to 18 players (+ 4 reserves) by July 5.

Two returns should be noted in this list, namely those of Lyonnaises Eugénie Le Sommer and Griedge Mbock. Having undergone knee surgery in mid-April after major contact in a match during the narrow victory in Sweden (0-1), the top scorer in the history of the selection could therefore be reinstated for the Olympic deadline like her partner at the OL, established defender at the highest level.

Moreover, Renard called on the same players as those called up a month earlier to challenge England, for a victory and a defeat. If Amel Majri remains absent, Marie-Antoinette Katoto, Kadidiatou Diani and Delphine Cascarino remain the spearheads of the Blue attack. In the middle, Amandine Henry is still on the list despite recent complicated performances.
