The 39-year-old currently has a player option that would extend his contract for next season and earn him $51 million. The Lakers are hoping that by signing Bronny, they can persuade LeBron to extend his contract.

Instead of the option for another year, LeBron could also sign a longer-term contract in LA. In general, everything points to him staying, more than ever thanks to the commitment of his son.

Knicks get German with 58th pick

The German center would play in the team of fellow countryman Isaiah Hartenstein next season.
