Premier League newcomers Leicester City have found a successor for coach Enzo Maresca, who is leaving for Chelsea. Steve Cooper will take over the position at the Foxes, and the 44-year-old will receive a three-year contract. Cooper was most recently at Nottingham Forest from September 2021 to December 2023, averaging 1.43 points in 107 games.

“We are delighted to welcome Steve to Leicester City. His vision for the team, including his ability to develop players and implement a dynamic style of play, aligns very well with our objectives,” said club chief executive Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha.

“As a leader, he has the ability to build on the strong relationship that has developed between our fans and our team, strengthening a bond that will be critical to establishing the club in the Premier League,” Srivaddhanaprabha added.
