Lille Métropole Basket Denied Pro B Status: What’s Next for the Team?

At the end of May, the DNCCG made its decision not to maintain Lille Métropole Basket in Pro B. The appeal filed by the Lille club was not enough to change this reality.

Despite the decision taken last May by the DNCCG, Lille Métropole Basket bravely defended its skin by asserting its rights. He had eight days to file an appeal, which was obviously done by the Lille club which believed it had new arguments to put to its credit. The latter did not seem to be convincing. The hearing on Tuesday June 18 did not lead to a satisfactory outcome: “The LMB has taken note of the decision of the DNCCG not to re-engage the club in Pro B”mentions the RedGiants in a press release published this Friday.

In the fight for several weeks to allow Lille Métropole Basket to survive and be able to look to the future, its leaders are “currently in consultation with all stakeholders to decide what action to take”specifies the press release.
