Coach Indonesian U-20 National Team officially selected 26 players who will appear in the tournament Toulon Cup 2024 in France, June 3-16.
Of the 26 players, the composition of forward players was the most chosen, with nine players. The remaining eight defenders, seven midfielders and two goalkeepers.
Indra Sjafrie also selected six players who have careers abroad as part of the U-20 National Team in the 2024 Touloun Cup, according to the tournament’s official website.
The six overseas players who have strengthened the U-20 national team are: Dion Wilhelmus Eddy Markx from Dutch club NEC Nijmegen, Tim Henri Victor Geypens from FC Twente, Sem Peter Yvel from NAC Breda, Welber Jardim from Sao Paulo, Hinoke Mauresmo Johannes from FC Dordrecht, and Jens Raven from FC Dordrecht.
Of the players currently playing for foreign clubs, only Sacha Deighton was not called up by Indra Sjafri for the 2024 Toulon Cup.
Sacha Deighton is a player who recently joined the U-20 National Team training camp in Como, Italy, before going to the Toulon Cup. Deighton, who currently plays at De Treffers, plays as a right back.
The U-20 national team is scheduled to start their match in the 2024 Toulon Cup against Ukraine on Tuesday (4/6). Two days later Indonesia clashed with Panama.
Ikram Algiffari and friends then played against Japan on Saturday (8/6), and finally faced Italy, Wednesday (12/6).
