Scotland suffered a big blow last Friday in the opening match of this European Championship. A dominant Germany blew the Scots away with a 5-1 pandering. The only Scottish goal was an own goal by Rüdiger.
Switzerland fared better in its opener, although Hungary proved to be quite a tough customer. At halftime there was no problem for the Swiss with a 0-2 lead, but after Varga’s tying goal it became even more exciting. Only in extra time did substitute Embolo score the liberating 1-3.
