No Lampaert
Without Wout van Aert and Remco Evenepoel (both on altitude training), Yves Lampaert suddenly got 3 stars behind his name.
The “farmer’s son” won the opening time trial in the Tour of Switzerland last week. But the day before yesterday he crashed in the penultimate stage.
The two-time Belgian time trial champion still has too many after-effects of that crash and suits Binche.
As a result, Alec Segaert (Lotto-Dstny) and Rune Herregodts (Intermarché-Wanty) now seem to have the best trump cards. They were already on the BK podium last year as 2nd and 3rd.
