Los Angeles Clippers Considering DeMar DeRozan as Paul George’s Possible Replacement

Although the Los Angeles Clippers continue to consider keeping Paul George a priority, the possibility of his departure seems increasingly closer. The negotiations are not moving forward and the Californian team is already thinking about alternatives. The one that has been most talked about in recent hours is that of DeMar DeRozan, who has been alluding for years to the possibility of playing again in his native Los Angeles.

KC Johnson, veteran Bulls reporter for NBC Chicago, newspaper of possible movement. The Illinois franchise had been leaking its intention to extend DeRozan’s contract for months. But Caruso’s departure and the predictable tanking the Bulls are headed toward could have changed things. The journalist points to a transfer via sign-and-tradesince George’s departure would move the Clippers away from the second apron that restricts them.

The Los Angeles team remains one of the deepest in the league, but has the majority of first-round picks committed until 2029. Something that the Bulls are surely looking for in the face of the reconstruction that lies ahead.
