Los Angeles Lakers Eyeing Devin Carter as Potential Replacement for D’Angelo Russell

The Los Angeles Lakers are looking for alternatives to find D’Angelo Russell’s replacement, assuming that he will not continue with the club next season. Well, this piece could arrive from the NBA Draft and he is not LeBron James’ son.

In fact, The Athletic media revealed that the management of the popular Californian squad wants to take a point guard in his first opportunity within the event; 17th overall pick, since she seems convinced that DLo will not activate his player option for $18.1 million and is not willing to give the left-hander a juicy extension in free agency.

The hypothetical pilot that the Lakers would select in the draft, if the opportunity arises, would be Devin Carter, with three seasons of experience in the NCAA with Providence. Otherwise, those of the Crypto.com Arena would perhaps go with Bronny James, knowing that the first-born of the “King” is not a natural driver and does not seem to be prepared to be a short-term starter in the basketball elite.

At 22 years old, the 1.88 tall point guard has been on the rise in college basketball, so much so that he has recorded 19.7 points per game with 3.6 assists and 39.9% in triples; area in which he needs to improve the Hollywood entity, after being the second worst of the completed harvest.

Likewise, the Lakers believe that Carter would have a positive role as a starter and would not force the front office to look for an elite point guard in the summer break; talking about Donovan Mitchell or Trae Young, bringing with them having to get rid of excessive talent, including Austin Reaves.
